Nexx XR1R Carbon Black Gray Large Full Face Helmet

Over the years I've owned most major helmet brands including Arai, Shoei and most recently an HJC carbon. All have been good but each having some drawback such as noise, fogging or comfort. The Nexx for me scores an "outstanding" on all criteria. It fits perfectly (I take an XL with an average, that is a slightly oval head shape), has low noise levels and when riding on 50 degree Seattle days, virtually no visor fogging, something no other helmet I've had could accomplish. It also has a wider field of view than most other helmets and it's best feature is it's so light it feels like you're not even wearing a lid. Bottom line, I've finally found my perfect helmet.

Shoei NEOTEC BLACK SIZE:XLG MOTORCYCLE Full-Face-Helmet

Recently traded up from an HJC bluetooth modular helmet ($189) to a Shoei Neotec ($584) after realizing that price should not be a limiting factor as I have only 1 head that I would like to remain on my shoulders. This journey began when my spouse who has her own ride mentioned wanting a modular helmet because she had trouble donning and removing her full face Street & Steel model, and peripheral vision was a problem. After trying the Neotec on for fit at a local motorcycle dealer to determine correct size and preferred color, we each ordered the Neotec model. The Neotec fits a bit tightly because of the customized liner, chin shield and breath guard but (a) a helmet should have a snug fit and (b) within a week has become very comfortable as long as care is taken in ensuring that ears fit in the provided recess (nothing worse than sore ears on and after a long ride!).The Neotec controls road noise very well and that helps my wife and I communicate via our Cargo G4 Powerset; the road noise when wearing our previous helmets made hearing each other difficult at times, not so with the Neotec. The pads are very well secure; was always having to reposition the neck roll pads on the HJC after donning it because they would get pulled out. The Neotec has superior peripheral vision even in 'full face' mode as the redesigned face shield and opening it covers is much wider and easier to see with. The internal sun shield is wonderful on sunny days although an additional pair of sunglasses…

Nexx XR1R Carbon White Red Medium Full Face Helmet

I'm a sportbike rider and a previous owner of a Shoei X11.The Nexx XR1R Carbon flows air as well as the X11, but is a bit noisier. The vents are easy to operate, the strap is a bit fiddly. It is lighter than the X11 and comfortable to wear. The materials inside are plush. It is stable in head and cross winds. I don't have experience with it at track speeds yet.The distinct aspect of this helmet is its large visor. This reduces weight and significantly enlarges the field of view. The downsides are that it flexes when pulled down with one finger, and it's harder to avoid gazing at the sun at dusk.Overall I think it's a worthy successor to the X11.

Arai RX-Q Solid Motorcycle Helmet - Silver Frost Large

The title of this review is misleading. I'm sorry, what it should say is this: anything over 40 mph is murder on the ears. I've read a lot of other reviews that gave it 4 or 5 stars depite this. The reason for this being, "its safe" or, "it's comfortable". Yeah, well it's also a $500 helmet. If it's this noisy it beter be somthing. Is it comfortable? Yes. If I sit at my desk with it on, it's comfortable but, after 4 cups of coffe when I'm running to the bathroom the wind noise is once again deafining. Is it safe? ALL HELMETS ARE SAFE!!! You don't spend $500 to get a safe helmet. A $120 HJC is safe. I droped 5 bills because I wanted a helmet that was at least as comfortable and quiet as my worn out and stinky 2004 SUOMY Spec 1r Extreme. I got hosed. Big time. Might check out the new shark vision r.By the way. My qualifications:I live in Miami.I don't own a car.I've been a daily rider for 10 years.I've got 40,000 miles on my gsxr 1000.

Nexx XR1R Carbon Black Red X-Large Full Face Helmet

This is a very well made helmet; so light that there is no neck strain on long rides. Visibility is extraordinary and it looks great! The fit is perfect and the finish is first class.I just ordered the smoked visor since the only available Pinlock insert offered at present is the clear insert.Compared to my Shoei X-11 it is a bit noisier. The Scala Rider has to be glued to the outer shell rather than fixed between the padding and the helmet, as in the Shoei. I hope that when removing it there will be no damage to the matte finish! Because of this the speaker cables are harder to route to the inside. There are no gaps in the padding for speaker placement.I'm disappointed with shipping since Amazon does not ship to Puerto Rico, USA. I had it shipped to a Miami address and then it was forwarded to me via USPS. Bummer!Overall I am very satisfied with the XR1R Carbon.

SHOEI MULTITEC FLIP-UP CRYSTAL WHITE SIZE:XSM MOTORCYCLE Full-Face-Helmet

(Misc.)To say that I'm pleased with this helmet is an understatement. I ordered the Matte Black helmet and a silver mirror shield and they look great together. The helmet is very comfortable and much quieter than the old Shoei RF 900 that I retired. I'm looking forward to several years of use.

Shoei Multitec Helmets - Modular - Flip-up X-Large Pearl Grey

What can I say but that it's a great helmet. Visibility, left and right, is so clear and distortion free that I don't know I'm wearing a helmet. The weight is just what you might expect from the real thing, not too heavy but not light either. The visor is easy to flip up and the entire face (with visor) flips up and locks with ease and authority. I usually order Large but the Multitec Large was a bit small. So, I exchanged for an XLarge and it fits perfectly. I suggest ordering one size larger than what you might think at first. Looks like a party hat? No! Pricey? You bet! But if I spent say, $200.- for a helmet and ended up in a hospital, I'd like to be in a position where I'm not second-guessing my choice of helmets.

SHOEI MULTITEC MOTORCYCLE HELMET MATTE BLACK LRG

Shoei helmets are one of the best helmets you can get. I have no complains, the quality of this product is outstanding! Here are some of the things I love of my Shoei helmet:> It comes with a kind of cover to install under the chin. This is great to help suppressing the noise which wind produces on the helmet. I even hardly hear the engine sound! Also the helmet design itself reduces enormously the wind noise.> It has enough inner room for the "legs" of sunglasses (how's the name for that thing btw?). Wear whatever sunglasses style you like, it wont be never uncomfortable on this helmet!> The vent pads really works! Once they're open you can feel the wind coming thru your head!> The helmet is really lightweight. It feels VERY comfortable!> This Multitec version comes with flip-up front to become an open helmet. I love this feature, especially when I stop or when I need to talk to someone; I open it and I feel "free". Also, the front goes up and closes up very easily, even when wearing gloves. WARNING, never ride with the front opened!!!> My Suzuky GS 500 is black, so I bought my Shoei helmet black as well. It looks gorgeous! :-)I recommend highly this product, it is really FANTASTIC!!! A+++++

Shoei Helmet MULTITEC MATTE BLACK Size Medium

This is a great helmet. I have had mine for almost 2 years now with no complaints. I really like that it has slots for glasses. Most helmets do not take that into consideration and Shoei did. I live in West Texas and was worried that it would be too hot in the summer, boy was I wrong. It moves the air quite well. It might be heavier than some other modular helmets, however the quality is there. It is a little noisier than a full face helmet. That is a trade off I was willing to make. You can't go wrong with this helmet.
